We are updating residents and family members on our current situation, as Hurricane Idalia continues its path. As of this morning, the hurricane is positioned approximately 125 miles off the coast of Tampa, and we are feeling its effects here on the campus. We are currently experiencing rain and occasional wind gusts as the storm progresses. However, we have taken all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our residents and team members. Throughout the night, we have remained on full city power, which has enabled us to maintain a secure and comfortable environment despite the challenging weather conditions.
While we are not yet through the entirety of the storm, we wanted to let you know that your loved ones are safe and well. Our dedicated team has been working diligently to ensure that everyone remains sheltered and cared for throughout this period of uncertainty.
As soon as it is safe to do so, our maintenance team along with administration will assess the campus for any potential damage. The safety and well-being of our residents are our top priorities, and we will take all necessary steps to ensure that our facilities are secure.
Your kindness and well wishes have truly touched our hearts during this time of uncertainty. We are reminded of the strength of our community as we come together to support one another. Our thoughts and best wishes go out to those who may still be affected as the storm continues its journey towards North Florida and Georgia.
